TV Channel 2 moves its broadcast location and repeats now in Punta del Este the state TV programme channel 5 of Montevideo.
An omnidirectional 16 dipole antenna was installed provided by ANTRON of Brazil.The antenna was mounted over a 85 meter high, 90 cm side long triangular tower that was ready built in November 2006.
It is located in route 39 in half way between Punta del Este and San Carlos, Maldonado.
The installations in the near future will be finished with a new 5kW solid state TV transmitter (with digital support) model LD55KO being made by LINEAR of Brazil, and represented by CUE Ltd.
CUE Ltd. also has in charge of the energy supply installation with enough power to support a future TV studio that will be built near the tower.
